Privacy policy
Glucose Relay collects nothing. The developer never receives your glucose readings, your account, or any information about you or your use of the app.
Effective November 4, 2026.
What the app does with your data
- Your LibreLinkUp sign-in. Your email and password are sent only to Abbott's LibreView servers, to sign in to LibreLinkUp on your behalf. The password is stored in your iPhone's Keychain. It is never sent anywhere else.
- Your glucose readings. The app fetches your readings from Abbott and saves them to Apple Health on your iPhone, as Blood Glucose. They are not sent to the developer or to anyone else, and the app keeps no copy of its own.
- Your activity data. The app asks Health for permission to read Steps, Pushes, Active Energy and Resting Energy. It uses these only as a signal: iOS wakes the app when new activity is recorded, and the app uses that moment to update your glucose. It never reads the values, stores them, or sends them anywhere.
- Settings and a short log. The app keeps its settings and a list of recent background updates (times and counts, never readings) on your iPhone, to show you on its Details screen.
What the app does not do
- No account with the developer, and no server run by the developer.
- No analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
- No sharing or selling of data. There is nothing to share.
- No use of your Health data for advertising or marketing, and no storing it in iCloud.
Other parties
Signing in and fetching readings uses Abbott's LibreLinkUp service, which is covered by Abbott's own terms and privacy notice. Readings saved to Apple Health are governed by Apple's privacy policy and your Health settings. Glucose Relay is independent of both companies.
Your choices
- Stop copying. Turn off "Copy glucose to Health" in the app at any time.
- Remove readings. In the Health app, tap your picture, then Apps, then Glucose Relay, to delete the data it saved or change what it may access.
- Sign out. Signing out in the app deletes the saved password from your iPhone's Keychain.
- Delete the app. This removes its settings and log. Readings already in Health stay until you delete them there.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
